Generation Gap!

I was adjusting the power setting of the wireless DSL modem at home in Chennai since once in a while I see the chord coming out loose. I use Fios modem and once in a while I need to reset at home in Dallas. So, I am used to this. My father came by and asked me as to what exactly I was trying to do. I explained. He pulled something from his pocket and gave me to use with my laptop. MTS data card!!!!

God sends messengers all the time.

1st - That is what I felt when Ramesh and Family graciously included me in their journey to Thirumalai this year. Long pending Angapradhakshanam was bothering me for a while. I needed an external push, a guiding force to accomplish this. When Ramesh invited me to join them in their climbing up the hills and Angapradakshanam, I was so happy. Felt that God sent Ramesh to give me holding hand through this journey. Thanks to Ramesh and Family for such a lovely journey and unforgettable dharshans.

2nd - When we were climbing up the stairs from Chandragiri (Jeeyar Paathai), at certain point, I was  gasping for breathe and thinking - wav! great accomplishment - I have come this far successfully etc.
Just then, a very old lady with stick in her hand and hunchback was crossing us up the stairs. She must be atleast 80 if not more. Do you think we ever complained or had sense of pride in our mind. No way !!! After sometime we never saw her. Second instance that matches the title.

3rd - Missed seeing Varaha Perumal Sannathi on our way to stay in Parakala Mutt ashram at Thirumalai. Ramesh and I took a walk to temple to find out how to go about starting angapradhakshanam next day. Came across Varaha Perumal sannathi. Immediately took dharshan at night around 9 PM. Came out and gate was closed behind us. - We were pulled out of our room just for this darshan.

I can add more......

Chennai Bound 007

June 25, 2013 Tuesday 330 AM, Chennai International Airport - British Airways landed. 630 AM is the train departure from Chennai Central to Tirupati. 3 hours on hand - tons of people to cross to clear immigration - With just one small hand bag, our Bound 007 navigated the crowd and reached Immigration line at 3:42 AM. This 3 hour window was planned for several days and calculated each step to accurately implement minute by minute. My name is Bond, James Bond is the famous dialog ringing in Bound's ears over and over. But that is film. This is reality. How in the possible world one can reach Chennai airport at 330, clear immigration and Customs, take a taxi and reach Vadapalani, leave the bags, take bath and get ready, leave to Chennai Central before 625 AM?

Confused but confident Bound was standing in line - Murphy's law always is true. The line where our "Bound" was standing was going the slowest. Finally got Immigration cleared. Since there were no check-in bags, customs was easy. He came out of Airport and his India Cell was ringing. Just outside the Airport, a taxi was waiting. he hopped in the car at 4:10 AM and reached home at 4:40 AM. Took a shower. Another bag was kept ready by his Dad. Our Bound picked it up and left for Thirupathi by 6:30 AM train from central.

I was that Bound and was glad to execute this small 007 action to see Ezhu  Malayan. More about the Dharshan in the next blog.
